Do you know the name of this book?

I read this book when I was really young, like 10 or something, so I don't really remember the story line, and now I really want to read it again.


All I know about the story is that there was romance, and I think there were two guys fighting over a girl. It was probably aimed at teens/young adults.


There were many fighting scenes, and I think there was magic involved, as in, the characters could use magic. I also remember many scenes taking place on ships, especially towards the end.


I think the main characters went to some school or something...


And I think at the end they thought the girl was missing and had died out in the sea but then later she washed up on the shore. And I think one of the guys ended up handicapped- he was missing an arm or leg.


The cover has a picture of the shore and I think has a ship or something... I honestly can't really remember.
