What are your MUST summer reads for this year?
Ahhh sooo many suggestions. =] I'm also a 19 y/o female.

Love Walked In %26amp;%26amp; Belong to Me - Marisa De Los Santos

The Birth House - Ami Mckay

Water for Elephants - Sara Gruen

Keeping the Moon - Sarah Dessen

Escape - Carolyn Jessop (This is a non-fiction and it's absolutely ammmaaaazing. I couldn't put it down. You've probably seen a lot about it in the news, involving the FLDS in Utah, Texas and B.C.)

Something Borrowed %26amp;%26amp; Something Blue - Emily Giffin
What are your MUST summer reads for this year?
Umm well if you are into current events here are a few books that I have read this summer, and I am 20.

Escape by Carolyn Jessop

Its about the FLDS community and how she was treated and how her life is now that she is out. I found it to be extremely interesting. If you read it you will probably start looking it up in the news and on you tube.... well at least I did

and then I also read Not on Our Watch by Don Cheadle, John Prendergas

This book is also a current event book, I learned alot about Darfur and the war over there. It was interesting, got me to think about what is happening all over the world, and its not in the news...

Good Luck!

Let me know what you think of the books, if you read them!
Reply:A thousand splendid suns is good.
Reply:I'm not 19, but I used to be :) and I was (and still am) a prolific reader.

Some of my favorites at 19 were:

anything at all by Madeleine Brent but Moonrakers Bride and Tregaron's Daughter were my favorites (I've reread them several times since... she wrote very interesting historically accurate fiction set partially in England and partially in other interesting geographic locales)

Anne McCaffrey's Dragonrider's of Pern series (if you are open to fantasy/science fiction she's one of the best female writers in the genre.)

Oh, here's a new one that's good for any age: Life's Golden Ticket by Brendon Burchard

Finally, one of my favorite authors is Barbara Michaels. I started reading her stuff at your age. This should keep you busy, lol! These are all of her novels, many of which are usually available at the public library.
