Teenage Author?

Have you guys ever heard of Jed Elkins? Apparently, he's like some 16 or 17 year old author or something and he wrote this book--my friends were telling me about it. Anyway, I heard he has a website that's just his name, like jedelkins.com or something. But I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this guy?

If this kid were an "author" he would know to just post his first chapter as his excerpt, not chapter 4 or 9. And you just post it, you don't make it a downloadable file. Nobody trusts a teenager enough to download some garbage from his site.





And self-publishing doesn't make you an "author." A lazy writer, sure, I'll buy that. But any moron with some money to toss into a toilet can self-publish.
