Maybe have Maella Ewell or what ever her name is, come out and admit she was lying about the rape at the trial. And then share the town's reaction about it.

Reply:well seeing as how when you finish the book, its a nice closed ending that makes you feel as though scout has become a good person - i would write in the direct viewpoint of the adult scout. she doenst even have to be an adult but just older so you know shes looking back.


she might have moved out of maycomb to somewhere that racism is less rampant (i think the north might be), or she could be teaching at the maycomb school and you could show that things have changed slightly with maybe mixed race schools?


then she could leave afterwards and go visit atticus and miss maudie who are sitting in atticus front garden having a heated discussion and then calpurnia could come out with the tea or jem could arrive home from court or something about dill ....
Reply:Maybe that Calpurnia wants to leave becasue everyone is still upset about the trial and then the family tries to do everything they can to get her back.
Reply:Maybe talk about Scout telling everybody about Boo Radley and eventually he comes out after a lot of coaxing from Scout. Then the town accepts him and he lives a semi-normal life.
