2. The Inheritance Trilogy (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr+Part 2 by Christopher Paolini)-- Loved his writing style

3. The Chronicles of Narnia (C.S Lewis)-- So imaginitive...

4. His Dark Materials (Northern Lights, Subtle Knife, Amber Spyglass by Phillip Pullman)-- Not too shabby

and the first Resident evil book http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resident_Ev...

Granted these books were written for kids, well I was a kid when I read them and they kickass.
Reply:I would have to say His dark materials, although they are completely different. Potter's good, but isn't very deep.
Reply:HP.

my fave series of all time is the Jack West Jr. series. Seven ancient wonders, Six sacred stones and there is one more to come.

Reply:My favourite is Lord of the Rings. Harry Potter and the Chronicles of Narnia aren't too far behind LOTR. I've never rread His Dark Materials or Soldier Son, but I've heard good things about them. I didn't really like the Inheritance Trilogy, but that's just me
Reply:Harry Potteer and The Chronicles of Narnia...

BUT ::::

none of these come close to the twilight series... duddddddee......

Twilight

New Moon

Eclipse all by Stephenie Meyer. check it out.. seriously.

Reply:Out of those, my favorite series is The Chronicles of Narnia, which I love. I really don't care for Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, or Inheritance, and I haven't read the others. (Though I've been meaning to get to Lord of the Rings one of these days...)

=)
Reply:The Chronicles of Narnia, hands down!
Reply:EASY!!

twilight

Reply:Chronicles of Narnia.

They actually have a message and are worth reading. I've read HP, but I dislike it. I get yelled at a lot for that. I just think that C.S. Lewis is amazingly creative while JKR is just... average.

Plus I love the allusions to the Bible. But that's just me. =3
Reply:Twilighttt, my loveeee

go read it!
Reply:Narnia, with LOTR as a pretty close second.
Reply:The Inheritance Trilogy
Reply:Harry Potter
Reply:Narnia
Reply:Harry Potter!

I've only read 3 of the series that you listed: HP, LOTR and Narnia. And I think that HP is best out of the lot.

:)
Reply:No-one else has said Enid Blyton!

That's my favourite. I know they are for kids but they're the type of books I can read over and over again. Esp. the Famous and the Secret Seven.

I read so many books but it is always the children's books I come back to again and again and again...

The Chronicals of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings are good books, too.
Reply:oh, the lord of the rings by far.

though i haven't read all of 'his dark materials' or the inheritance trilogy, and i've never even heard of enid blyton.

(i promise to check him/her out now, though!)

but the lord of the rings...

it's just so perfect.

middle earth is my happy place.

tolkien did such a fantastic job in creating a whole universe, and languages and histories and tales all within this one story.

it's really incredible.

i love the harry potter books also.

again, creating a whole world and drawing people into it is just so amazing to me.
