Besides classics, what is your ONE all time favorite fiction book?

I'm looking for some new reading. I want some really great books. I've temporarily exhausted my desire to read classics. I only read fiction or biographies. What's that one book you would recommend to anybody? Thanks.

So the crazy Twilight fan side of me is screaming, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. But the fact is, I wouldn't recommend that to ANYBODY because I know that most often, guys don't like the Twilight series.
