Vampire fans! Twilight fans! Answer this!?

ok, so im writing something and well one of my characters (who is a vampire) has to die in one part but im not sure how i can kill him off without making it all really dumb and not realistic! like no stakes, crosses, garlic, sunlight, not the usual Hollywood way of killing a vampire off. my character (isaiah) doesnt really die but is seen dying in the main girl's vision so if you are vampire fans, dont worry! :) but ten easy points! HELP! :)

Ahhh I LOVE TWILIGHT. haha so obviously, the first thing that comes to mind is: rip the vampire into pieces and burn the pieces! haha but I guess what you might consider is: you could have something that vampires cannot stand. like the way in twilight, a werewolf's bite can rip it to shreds. I think it's really interesting when you have more than one kind of mythical creature involved. you could make it a struggle between the two, and then the vampire loses and dies. or, the vampire might be in love with someone, but is driven to insanity because of his thirst for that person he loves, so he bites his lover out of insanity, and then realizes what he's done, and the blood of his lover turns toxic and kills him. or, he could kill himself out of agony, by stabbing his heart with a basilisk fang, or something.

sorry, that's a lot of ideas all jumbled together, haha. hope that helps :)

You could always use the stereotypical Hollywood ways of killing a vampire.. and just spice it up. Add a few more events. Say like, an intense fight between two characters (or however many are going to take place in the scene) ending in a sunrise where they have to run (the vampires, I mean) and the one character you're killing off.. is somehow left out in the sun. Or beheaded by some freak-accident, or stabbed through the heart by some projectile object. You know.. make it jazzy. That's how I deal with killing off my vampire characters. Good luck.. hope I helped.
Reply:she should be the one to kill hem she should stab him in the heart
Reply:Sorry but those aren't the "usual Hollywood ways" to kill a vampire. Those are the things set up by Bram Stoker who wrote Dracula - the first and the best vampire book. And they were based on actual legends in the Carpathias. It's this OTHER stuff about vampires sparkling and all that junk that is "Hollywood".

Technically Stoker sets up that you can contain a vampire in his casket by placing a rose on the top. You can also restrict him to his tomb by sprinkling crushed Host and Holy Water around the perimeter. The way to kill a vampire is with stake through heart, followed by beheading and stuffing the mouth with garlic blossoms. Cloves of garlic are never mentioned. By the way - Dracula could go out in the daylight. Read the original. Pax-C
Reply:Fire is a good way to kill a vampire!
Reply:I really think it will depend on how much the girl knows. If he's a Twilight-style vampire, he's really hard to kill off, but if she doesn't know much, he could be caught in a fire, crushed under something heavy (or trapped, maybe a mine collapsed), but the best might be caught under something underwater (bridge collapses, car dives in a lake, etc.)

I think the best way for him to *seem* to die would be to have him trapped somewhere no normal person would survive. However, if the girl knows he doesn't need to breathe then all's well. (or not!)

Good luck with your story!
Reply:Hm...deprivation of blood maybe?

Or another vampire who secretly opposes him almost kills him, and thats what the girl sees. She doesnt want to see him die so she ends the vision, but she misses the part where he manages to live.

Or maybe he could be caught in a fire, where he could die. Like the last suggestion, the girl does not want to see him die so she ends it before she could see him escape.

Hope this helps. (I LOVE Twilight btw)

Team Edward!
Reply:How about: Vampires can only die if their true love is dead? Or people start/stop believing in them? another possibility is if they're struck by lightning (which is attracted to them..well, it could be). Or there could be certain words that kill them? Their name, or their parent's? Or when they were 'born' as a vampire. Or only the person who 'changed' them can kill them. And..I can't think of anything else (even more bad ones. lol).
Reply:how bout if you say that vampires get killed by other vampires who drink their blood just to become stronger among them and gain supernatural powers how about that does it help?

(i love twilight!!!!!!!!!!!)
Reply:Several of my favorite authors vere toward removing the head and heart. Heck, Anita Blake even goes as far as to burn them (the head and heart) and scatters the ashes. But usually if you remove either the head and/or heart, the vamp isn't coming back.
