How's this idea for a fanfic?

A year or two has passed after the Pevensies are crowned Kings and Queens of Narnia. Edmund still has dark thoughts lurking in his heart and mind. He conspires with a dwarf, and the dwarf gives Peter this food, which he doesn't know has some spell, or something. A potion, perhaps. After Peter eats, he loses his mind, and thinks he's an animal.


Edmund has Peter locked in a dungeon, faraway, and blames Peter's sudden disappearance on the Telmarines, so he can wage war on them, and take Telmar for himself, as well.


Edmund usurps Peter's position as High King, while pretending to mourn Peter's insanity.


But Susan and Lucy find out, and decide to do something about it. After five years, the spell wears off, and Peter recovers his sanity, and the two brothers meet face-to-face in a war. How's that for an AU fanfic? I'm planning on posting it on fanfiction.net.

it sounds very different and well-thought out. just make sure you keep this kind of in-depth detail in the rest of the fic- narnia can be hard to write about because of all the detail and the die-hard followers of CS Lewis' original work (like my husband...). just have fun with it and make sure you read the book, rather than just the film being your basis, as you might get some awesome ideas from it (i adore the series).
